George is a criminal defense attorney in Martine Law’s Raleigh office. Licensed in North Carolina since 2021, he represents people charged with DWI, misdemeanors, and other criminal offenses in Wake County and nearby courts.
George moved into criminal defense to work directly with people whose freedom and future are on the line.
George J. Caspar is an associate attorney on Martine Law’s criminal defense team, working from the firm’s Raleigh office on Glenwood Avenue. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2021 and has represented criminal defense clients in the Raleigh area since 2022.
At Martine Law, George represents people charged with DWI, assault, drug offenses, larceny and other theft crimes, traffic offenses, and other misdemeanors, as well as lower-level felonies. He also helps eligible clients look into expungement of past charges.
George came to criminal defense after working in other areas of the law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University. He began his legal career as an associate at the law firm Dechert LLP in Philadelphia, and he later worked in Hartford, Connecticut, for the insurance company Chubb, where he reviewed and audited legal bills from outside law firms. He chose criminal defense because he wanted to be in the courtroom working directly for people, in cases where a client’s freedom can be at stake.
Clear communication is central to how George works. He is a Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest educational award offered by Toastmasters International, and has served in leadership roles with the Apex Toastmasters club, where he also hosts the club’s podcast. He brings that same focus to his clients, making sure they understand their charges, what to expect at each court date, and the options available to them.
