Jonathan Garnett

Jonathan Garnett is an associate attorney at Martine Law, working from the firm’s Raleigh office on Glenwood Avenue. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in June 2026. His practice covers family law, including child custody and divorce, as well as criminal defense.

Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

Before he was licensed, Jonathan worked in litigation support, first as a paralegal and later as a litigation assistant. That work gave him hands-on experience with case files, court filings, and the preparation that goes into every hearing. At Martine Law, he works alongside Jonathan Nobles on the firm’s family law team and with the firm’s criminal defense attorneys.

Family law and criminal cases often arrive at the most stressful points in a person’s life.
