Whitney Kirby

Whitney earned her law degree from Elon University School of Law in December 2023. Her early experience as a prosecutor provided her with a deep understanding of how cases are evaluated and charged, as well as how decisions are made behind the scenes. She uses that knowledge to anticipate strategy, identify weaknesses, and advocate effectively for her clients.

She believes criminal law is an area that people either love or do not, and she firmly falls into the former category. She cannot imagine practicing in any other field. She approaches each case with determination, fairness, and a belief that the defense side of the courtroom requires attorneys who are willing to challenge assumptions and push back when necessary.

Outside of her practice, Whitney stays connected to her athletic roots as a lifelong sports enthusiast. She also plays guitar and is currently learning piano, finding that music provides both a creative outlet and a meaningful challenge outside the courtroom. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, often choosing crime novels that reflect her continued interest in the complexities of the criminal justice system.
